charming stay near the best of cape may's attractions
I loved the perfect location, just a few steps from the Washington Street Gallery and less than a 5-minute walk to beautiful Wilbraham Park, made exploring the area so easy and enjoyable in a Junior Suite that had so much character and charm.

We stayed in the a double room, it was brand-new. The location was historic - just next door to the beach and Washington Street with all quaint shops and restaurants and the Washington Street mall and the center of the Cape May Mall area. Furthermore, in event of emergency---especially for anyone who has difficulty walking.

The decor of the hotel was simple and quite attractive. Staff was friendly and rooms were straightened several times a day. Our ocean view was wonderful. Best of all, when we went to the beach across from the hotel, staff provided and set up an umbrella, beach chairs and towels for us where we chose- right by the water. We had a wonderful time.
I would have liked to have a small refrigerator in the room. Otherwise, it was everything we hoped for. It is, however, very expensive.

The Good, the Bad, and the Unexpected
What a good getaway! Our ocean-side room was immaculate with comfy beds. Staff were consistently friendly. Check-in felt chaotic, and world outside could intrude with noise. Still, the beach access was perfect, and the charming location near shops was a major plus! We'd gladly return.

Location and feel of the place was excellent. Enjoyed the Brown Bar and the Blue Pig as well.
There was a mix up in the booking, and it took several hours to get us rooms. The rooms were not what we originally booked.

We found the location and history of Congress Hall to be great. The architecture, the old pictures hanging in the hallways, the staff, all made a memorable weekend for us.

History of building was very interesting. Decorations were very nice and staff were very serving.
We found it extremely noisy and well, over priced. Sink was loose and falling from pedestal, shower handle was falling off. Windows rattled. Every noise in the hall reverberated into the room.

Just an ideal choice for a stopover in Cape May with reasonable value. The bathroom smelled fresh like Clorox, pleasant. For a quick meal, be patient with reservations at the restaurants nearby.
